Admitted

Just wanted to give a quick update for all of Elliott's fans.  You all know Elliott has been pretty sick since Sunday, but last night around 6pm his fever spiked to 105.2. So we took him to Children's Hospital and they said his oxygen was too low and he needed to be admitted with 24/7 oxygen. They did a chest x-ray and also discovered pneumonia in both his little lungs.

His parents didn't get much rest last night, but I think Elliott rested as well as possible considering all the wires and tubes attached to him.  He'll probably have to remain in the hospital until at least Sunday and possibly into Monday.  They told us that he would have to be off of oxygen and fever free for at least 24 hours before they would release him.

Also, if you were planning to attend his birthday party this Saturday its been moved to next Sunday (3/15) at the same time.  Keep him in your thoughts and we'll try to keep you posted.

Happy Birthday to Elliott!

Even though Elliott has been very sick this week, we think his Cookie Monster puppet cheered him up.

Let It Snow

51 weeks ago we brought Elliott home from the hospital. It snowed the next day.
He's a little bigger now.

He wanted to go play in the snow so badly this morning.

Unisex? Really?

I don't know, cousin Breanna, this hat looks pretty girlie to me.

Weekend in L.A.

That's Lower Alabama. The weather was too yucky to do much, but we enjoyed hanging out with Andrea and Michael and their gang o' girls. We had a romantic Valentine's Day dinner at Lulu's with our FOUR children and Michael's parents, Mike and Prissy. The restaurant had a big vow renewal ceremony complete with a Champagne toast, a live band, and a wedding certificate signed by owner Lucy Buffett. So much fun!

The "intimate" ceremony

The happy newlyweds (and baby)

Elliott's two favorite things: eating and listening to music. He loved his mom and dad's wedding!

I get around

Elliott's steering ability has greatly improved. Just watch him take that corner.

Operation Elliott

Due to all of Elliott's ear infections he had to have tubes this morning. He was in a pretty good mood considering he didn't have breakfast, his parents woke him up at 5am, and then drove an hour to Children's Hospital South. The hospital let Elliott test drive this little car before his procedure. They also added a nice touch by having his name on the door to his room. I think he looks like a natural behind the wheel in the first picture, and in the second picture he may be trying to order something at a drive-through window. His procedure went great and he's now back home resting. - eric

What do you think happens next?

Yes, boys and girls, Elliott has learned to climb aboard the table. (The videographer was too freaked out to keep filming, considering that is a glass table.)

Just admit it...

If you had Christmas pajamas this cute, you'd still be wearing them in February too! (Obviously they are super comfy because he keeps climbing into his toy basket.)
