Like mommy, like son

Happiest when surrounded by a mound of books! (Sorry for the not-so-great quality of this iPhone photo...he's in constant motion even when he's sitting in one place!)

Is it just me...

Or does this kid look like he's about to turn 10 instead of 2??

Tasty treat

It's no secret that Elliott really enjoys his meals.

But yesterday's snack...oh, my goodness. The school nurse met me in the hall with the ominous words, "Have they told you about the crayon yet?" Apparently he was "coloring" in art and scarfed down most of a crayon before they could reach him. At least he wasn't hungry when he got home.

Wrapping It Up

I promise this will be the last Disney World post! There were a few more random pictures and videos that were too much fun not to share. (Disclaimer: Don't watch this video if you have a low threshold for annoying, catchy songs.)

Herr Elliott loved the food and the show at the German Biergarten restaurant. Oompah!

Elliott went crazy every time the roller coaster rumbled down Expedition Everest! This time he was probably thinking, "My mom is so stupid." (I'm in the red jacket, right side, close to the back. It's like Where's Waldo?).

This picture just cracks me up because of the CREEPY STRANGER! Really? You couldn't wait 2.1 seconds for my baby to finish petting the goat? You just had to get up in his business?!

Best Week Ever!

Cousin Cody is performing like a superstar this week. First a really great report card, and now he's bagged his first deer! Somebody must be livin' right.

Disney Studios

Disney Studios was our first day. The main reason we went this week was to see the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. If you haven't seen this you are definitely missing out.

Besides Nemo and Pooh, Elliott's other obsession is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Disney Studios has an entire section of the park dedicated to Playhouse Disney that includes a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show.

At each park Eric and Marilyn made sure they were able to ride at least one adult ride. At Disney Studios we had to ride Rock N Roller Coaster.

Here is a little taste of the lights.

EPCOT

Our day at Epcot was by far the coldest and windiest day of our trip. Elliott has never worn gloves so we didn't pack any, but he really needed something on his hands this day. So Marilyn bought a pair of Mickey socks for his hands, and we told him they were his fins so he could go see Nemo and Crush. It wasn't a pretty sight at first but after a while he started to like them. In the third picture he's wearing his "fins" and playing with his glow Mickey toy while we wait for Illuminations. Every time he looks at this picture now he still says, "Brrr".

Most of the week when Elliott didn't want to ride in the stroller we would say let's go fast.

Hello

Hey, you're not Donald!

Nemo obsession

The only complete movie that Elliott has ever watched is Finding Nemo. And he would probably watch it every day if we let him. There were several Nemo-themed attractions at Disney World. The Turtle Talk with Crush show at Epcot was a particular favorite. When he saw some of the other children sitting on the floor at the front of the room, he just walked over and sat cross-legged in the front row like nobody's business. This was just one of the many times that we thought, "Who is this teenager?"

The Nemo live stage show at Animal Kingdom stunned him (and us, honestly). Beautiful!

My Friends Tigger and Pooh

For those of you that haven't been to Magic Kingdom, there is a special section that is Winnie the Pooh themed. Pooh and Tigger had been giving autographs and every time we passed them Elliott acted like he wanted to go give them a hug. We were skeptical that he would actually walk up and hug them especially after standing in line for 20 minutes. But to our surprise he walked right up to both Tigger and Pooh and gave the deepest hugs we've ever seen. Then we went next door and let Elliott run wild in the 100 Acre Wood.

Notice Marilyn at the top of the slide and Elliott waiting at the bottom for her.

This is my honey pot, sister!
