OK, don't be mad.

We had every intention of posting these photos when they were taken back in....November. But the holidays and the bum ears and all the rest of our crazy dramas just shot our resolve. But better late than never, right?

Most of you know that Elliott is currently experiencing his 5th (yep, 5th) ear infection in only 3 and a half months. Today he visited the ENT, and the doc feels pretty confident that tubes will really help in his situation. So he will be getting all fixed up next Thursday. Maybe now he'll have bionic hearing like the Million Dollar Man. (With all the doctor visit co-pays, I think he'll soon cost as much as the Million Dollar Man. Yikes!) --Marilyn

Masterpiece

Elliott brought home this piece of art a few days ago. I'm not quite sure what it is, but this month's theme is winter. Make your own interpretation. I think my little Picasso's work is at least as good as some of the stuff I've paid good money to see at modern art museums! We're displaying it for free...you're welcome. --Marilyn

Corn-Fed

Elliott has eaten creamed corn before but never corn on the cob. His granna has been begging us to let him try it out.  I think he likes it...

May you live in interesting times.

That's supposed to be some sort of curse, right? To say our week has been interesting would be an understatement. We've had a public meltdown complete with wailing, gnashing of 8 tiny teeth, and other Linda Blair-like behavior. THEN we had a hotel night filled with three fire alarms that sent us out into single-digit weather. THEN we returned home to find our water pipes frozen. THEN little Elliott woke up well before dawn today gasping for air and sounding like a cross between Darth Vader and a barking seal. A visit to the Children's Hospital after-hours clinic revealed an unsurprising diagnosis: croup. Not too dangerous but very alarming. As an added bonus, the doc told us to "keep an eye" on his right ear because it's congested and may soon become infected. (I'm not sure what "keeping an eye" on it will accomplish, but alright.)

Maybe our luck's turning around though because this afternoon I won concert tickets to see Eric's favorite band. Keep your fingers crossed. And if you see any voodoo dolls lying around that look like me, give me a heads-up. I'm beginning to think that the curse plaguing my friend Katie last week has rubbed off on us!  --Marilyn

PS--I'll post more pics when Elliott's feeling better.

Good morning to you!

I never wake up with a smile so clearly this behavior is not genetic.

Melon Madness

Although he was a little skeptical when he first ate peaches, Elliott eventually came around and since then has never met a fruit he doesn't like. Watermelons are a special favorite.

Hello Mr. Pibb

Elliott plays with our drink boxes every morning. Today he decided to wave to his fans.
