Today we met a guy who made a big deal out of Elliott's birthday. I mean, a BIG deal. He literally gasped and said, "His birthday's March 4?! Why, that's the most powerful day of the entire year!! It's the only day that's a command! Get it: March Forth! He's obviously a natural born leader, destined for big things!"

Well, obviously.

PS--I'm kind of ashamed as a word nerd that I hadn't made that connection before.

Elliott Turns Two with Family, Friends and of course Mickey.

Elliott's party was a huge success. Only one fight broke out and fortunately no one was seriously injured. Strangely, we did discover that two-year-olds do not like watching their friends play with the ONE guitar. We also didn't get enough good pictures of the kids during the party, because capturing little moving targets on film isn't that easy. So we opted to include some pictures of our less active guests. We bought Elliott's cake this year from a usually reliable bakery. However, notice the spelling of Elliott's name. I think we're missing something.

Elliott's gift from Mom and Dad this year was a Mickey Mouse craft table.

Or, during the party, a mini (mouse) dining room table.
